Android v1.2: Background Music Volume Fix

This update fixes a bug that stopped the in-app volume meter from changing the level of background music. The fix is recorded as a minor update for v1.2. It concerns the music adjustment control, rather than every sound made by the app or a game.

If the slider still does nothing, first check the APK version installed on your phone. Note whether the issue occurs throughout the app or only in one game. Those details will help you compare your experience with the fix.

Why Does v1.2 Have a 2026 Update?

The Android version catalogue includes v1.2 alongside other version names, including v1.3, v1.4, v2.0 and v10.88. The v1.2 page describes an older interface that continues to receive updates. That is why a 2026 fix can appear under v1.2 even though other version numbers are listed.

The version names alone do not tell you which file is offered through your account service or whether a particular fix appears in another version. Check the file and version information on our Download page before changing an installation.

iOS: Face ID Added to the Change Notes

Mega888’s iOS notes list Face ID support, including Apple’s option to use Face ID while wearing a mask. The change concerns access on a compatible iPhone. It does not change the account’s User ID or password.

Look for the option in the settings available on your device. If you are dealing with a forgotten password or an account verification issue, the Login & Register page covers those situations separately.

iOS: Notification and Background Audio Fixes

Two iOS entries address different problems that users may notice outside a game round.

Under iOS 15.2.1, the notes describe a fix for notifications that sometimes failed to appear while Mega888 was open. Under iOS 15.2, they describe a fix for music continuing after the app had been exited.

The second issue is different from the Android v1.2 volume fix. On Android, the reported problem was changing music volume inside the app. On iOS, the reported problem was music continuing after exit. Identifying the right behaviour makes an update report more useful than simply saying “the sound is broken.”

When a Reported Fix Has Not Fixed Your Issue

First compare the device, version and behaviour named in the report with what you see. An Android v1.2 volume slider fix, for example, does not address music continuing after the app is closed on an iPhone.

If all three details match and the issue remains, record when it occurs and whether it happens in every game. Visit Troubleshooting with the exact error or behaviour. A new update has been announced. Why can’t I see it yet?

Check whether the announcement names your device, app version or account service. A change observed on one route may not be available through another. If those details match yours, check the article for later status notes.

Why does a feature in the iOS notes not appear on my iPhone?

Check the iOS version named in the note, your device’s available features and the options in your installed app. Also check whether your account service provides the same access method. A note under one iOS version does not describe every device setup.

Does an app update change my existing account?

An app update and an account change are separate events. If you can open the updated app but cannot sign in, check the User ID and service associated with your account before registering again. See Login & Register for recovery steps.

What if an issue is marked resolved but it still happens to me?

Check whether the resolution applies to your device and service. Record your version and the exact error, then use Troubleshooting for the problem itself. A resolved report about one affected group may not explain a separate issue on your device.

Can a game appear under a different name after an update?

It is possible for a lobby label, category or artwork to change. Compare the title and in-game information before assuming it is a completely new release. Our game reports should identify a known rename when there is enough evidence to do so.
